Gorgeous images from an historic garden in Charleston, S.C., by one of my new favorite photographers. Enjoy!
Several of the old southern plantations in Charleston SC are open to the public. I can equate this to the old castles and manors open in Europe. In short, they need the money to keep them. Itβs not easy keeping these huge buildings and land.

The photographs here are from Magnolia Plantation where parts of the gardens are very old (the oldest in the USA), and look it. Probably on purpose. I prefer this area since it gives me the opportunity to shoot things a little different than I normally would.
Stunning especially the last one..

Such beautiful photos, Timi. I’d love to visit the ‘Deep South’ and visit some of the old plantations and their fabulous gardens. I agree about the cost of running such places, but I suppose many old buildings and gardens would fall into ruin if the owners didn’t charge for the public to view. I’m just happy to experience these amazing places. The Plantation Garden Bridge is my favourite, too, and I love the reflection in the water. π

I haven’t been to Charleston SC in decades–I need to go back! And I agree with you, Millie, about how lovely Ted’s photos are!
