Yes, it’s my birthday today–I’m now 65. A ripe old age to attain, I think, especially since the alternative is not to be thought of, if a person is lucky.
Thank you, Phoebe! It’s certainly shaping up that way: a couple of unexpected and lovely gifts and an invitation this morning to breakfast with my Turkish friend Yasemin and her parents who are flying back to Turkey later today. I haven’t seen her father in ten years, since I lived in Istanbul!
I’ve just popped over to wish you a very happy birthday, Timi. I hope you spend it with people you love. I see I’ve missed a few posts over the last few days, so I’ll hop back and have a read! Have a wonderful day.
Thank you kindly, Millie. I’m invited to breakfast with some dear friends from Turkey, some of whom I haven’t seen since I lived there ten years ago! So it will be wonderful. Then tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my brirhday and Christmas with my two sons and my youngest brother and his family who live out of state. Much fun! 🙂
Oh wow, just a young chick. I can’t even remember 65 anymore. Of course I can’t remember much of anything. LOL the joys of senescence. (I’ve been wanting to use that word for several months….perfect opportunity) Happy Birthday, Timi.
Thank you, Larry! And I’m happy to have provided you with the opportunity to use a cool word. I can really relate to that. I’ll find a word that I enjoy, too, and wait for the right moment to use it–kind of like a ‘word bomb,’ instead of a ‘photo bomb.’ LOL! 🙂
Hey, Timi, Happy happy happy birthday! You are a “Seenager,” “Baby-Boomer,” and fortunate to have live to see another birthday. I wish you many decades of birthdays into your future filled with health, family, and friends. 🙂
Thank you kindly! Actually last night was the capstone to almost an entire week of birthday celebrations thrown by various groups of family and friends, since I turned 65–a milestone kind of age! 🙂
Happy birthday Timi!

Thank you, April! We just had my family birthday celebration tonight, a day late, so I don’t feel your greeting is belated at all. 🙂
