The lovely book author and blogger, Millie Thom, nominated me for a blogging award of my choice among several, so I accepted The Versatile Blogger Award, because it had the fewest rules, which are these:
Thank the person who nominated you.
Add the logo to your post
Nominate 5 β 10 bloggers of your choice and tell them about the award.
There are no facts to find or questions to answer for this award.
Thank you, Millie, for the nomination! Millie’s blog is atΒ Bringing History to Life. It is a most rewarding blog indeed!
I’ve added the logo to my post.
And I’m breaking the last rule. I will no longer nominate folks for awards, since last time I did it, so many of my nominees refused the honor.
And indeed with this award, I now officially become an Award Free Blog myself!
I’m not quite sure how one officially designates one’s blog as being Award Free. Perhaps someone could let me know in the comments section? Thanks in advance, and please know that if I were going to nominate someone’s blog for this or any other award, it would be YOURS. π
Much deserved..:) Have a lovely day….janet.

Thank you, Janet! I just survived a test on the Kings of France in the Capetian dynasty (940-ish to late 1300’s, and the corresponding Kings of England. I’m so glad the test is over! π

Well done you….I also love history…I only wish that there were 48 hours in every day….and 20 months to a year….why not?

I completely agree–let’s stretch time! After all, it usually stretches us, one way or another, doesn’t it? π

congratulations! very much deserved award. If you are serious about being an award free blog, others have simply taken off all awards from their site, placed a brief announcement on their front pages or about pages and put the “award-free blog” lol on their site. Then they either ignore all award requests or graciously refuse them. Hope that helps you.

Hi Timi. Thank you for accepting the award. I didn’t realise you’d posted it, as you hadn’t linked to my post or notified me. Not to worry, but I’m way behind reading posts and am trying to catch up!
Like you, I intend to become award free soon, although I’ve just been nominated for another one, which I’ll do first. Most people just put a little notification box on their home page to say Award Free Blog. Some have a little phrase about likes and comments being thanks enough. According to my daughter, Louise, who made her blog award free over a year ago, you can acquire a ‘ready made’ one from somewhere on WP. I’ll ask her about it tomorrow.
I’ll try to catch up with some of your posts asap!

Oops, sorry, Millie, about not telling you I had accepted your award! π Yes, I’d appreciate whatever your daughter knows about a ‘ready-made’ award-free logo from WP. Thanks for nominating my blog for the award! π
