Silence is important to the health of the brain, yet another study finds:
Although I’m not a scientist, nor have I done a study, I can confirm the benefits of silence in my own life. When things are beginning to seem out of control, they are usually “noisy” inside my head, and often outside it, too.
When I calm my mind, and especially when I can also find a calm, quiet outside environment in which to be, I become more sane. Wisdom increases.
Therefore I say:
“Silence, please….”
I agree. Great photo too–thanks.

Good post. I must have silence every day. It’s therapeutic.

Here in our little red dot, it is perpetually noisy… being a densely populated place. Silence is indeed golden!

My bedroom, which is poorly insulated for outdoor sound, is located right over the corner of a big intersection. The traffic sounds drive me crazy! 😛

Oh you need to soundproof it! We understand. The constant sound of traffic creates such a din!

I suspect it’s lack of silence that makes people so short-tempered these days.
