So my tax refund came a few days ago. ๐ That means that Sissy can get her feline dental work done, finally! She is scheduled to be seen next Tuesday.

It also means that I can get a couple of things I’ve been wanting for awhile. I ordered a tiny Vox Mini5 Rhythm Modeling Guitar Combo Amplifier for my Yamaha travel guitar.
My friend and fellow musician Halle Snyder has one, which she brought over to my place awhile ago. So when I got the Yamaha travel guitar, I knew that I wanted this Vox mini amp, which has not only 8 different effects, but also a built-in drum machine with 99 different rhythm patterns.
Another big plus to this Vox mini amp is that it can be operated on batteries, as well as by using electricity. So I can take it camping with me. Can you say “Pennsic War”? ๐
The other item I’ve been wanting for ages is a recliner. I found a rocker-recliner on clearance today at Lazyboy. It looks kind of like this, except that the one I’m getting is a dark forest green:

Being able to rest in a recliner should help a lot with my spine problems. And being a rocker as well as a recliner is a big bonus. I do love a good rocking chair…
I was going to get a new couch, too. But then I came to my senses and canceled that part of the order.
My new recliner will be delivered a week from Friday. I can hardly wait! ๐
The rest of my refund will go in my puny savings account. Hopefully I will be able to leave it there and resist spending it all. ๐
Wow you sure have quite some things to bring with you to Pennsic!

Yes, I’m going to have quite a bit of stuff — clothing, camping equipment, and toys, like the travel guitar and amp, and of course my harp! One must have her toys! ๐
