The picture of health…. it is not me. These vegetables I got at the store yesterday do seem like the picture of health, though.
But when I got home, I found a voicemail waiting for me.
It turns out that I need two more surgeries for my cancer.
This is not such good news…. 😦
I guess the only good thing I can say about this news is that it sure puts my tragic failed love affair into perspective! 😛

I made a potato-cheese frittata last night. Asparagus would have been wonderful.

I am clearly missing something here. What is the cancer? Given that i do believe we are what we eat…the first image is not only beautiful to look at and very paintable, but also yes, extremely healthy food. I do hope you are OK….sending hummingbird hugs. Janet

Yuck about surgeries. I hope it all works out easily and well, and meanwhile that great food can only help. I might try to make it into magic items that miraculously heal me–
