So last year, my plans to attend the Pennsic War in Pennsylvania were derailed by an accident that also saw me canceling my trip to Iceland (and what a bummer THAT was!).
I thought for sure I would be going to Pennsic this year. But now it turns out that I’m having surgery instead.
Oh well! Health must come first.
And Pennsic will happen in 2019, too.
Plus, at least I have gotten to see the place where Pennsic is held at Cooper’s Lake Campground outside of Slippery Rock, north of Pittsburgh, when I went to Aethelmearc War Practice a few weeks ago. See here.

I’m glad you got to go to that event there earlier this year. Next year might be a good time to try it, although that heat could knock down Olympic athletes!
