We’ve been having tons of rain lately, causing lots of new growth. Here’s what it looked like earlier today.
Astilbe in my perennial shade bed are flowering, while moss (and weeds) flourish, too!

It looks nice and green and mushroomy. We need rain, and it feels like it has almost been starting here, so I expect amg hope it to. Meanwhile I am listening to three-hour audios of greatest music of 1971, 1972, etc. I am up to 1975 and enjoying it.

Tons of rain here too, but it’s winter so it’s also cold and windy. I’m getting stir crazy, cooped up inside!

Your garden certainly thrived on all that rain back in June, Timi. It looks beautifully green. Has it continued wet since then? July was a scorching month here in the UK with drought conditions in most parts. I know parts of the US have had very high temps, too. Most gardens here are all dried out and brown and we’ve lost a few good plants because of it. August has, thankfully, brought some rain and farmers are now cursing because they need to do the combining! It will be interesting to see what the rest of August brings.

We had a terribly hot and dry July, too. August has actually been a little more bearable here where I am, although my friends in LA say they are having the hottest summer on record there, still. I don’t envy them that!
