Finally, tomorrow is my surgery, the event which has skewed my summer plans. I did go to Washington, D.C., last week, but didn’t manage to see any of the sights or take a single picture! 😛
So I’m illustrating this post with a photo of me taken by a Grinnell College classmate of mine back in 1971. A very long time ago!

I can see from comments above that your surgery went well and you are home and resting. That was a week ago, so I hope you’re feeling much better by now. Look after yourself. and continue to enjoy the rest. Probably not quite the time for medieval tournaments yet! 😀 ❤

Thank you, Millie. Actually my recovery, although it seemed to get off to a quick start, has rather bogged down and all I’m doing is staying home. Definitely not doing any medieval tournaments! 🙂

The week before my surgery I had a now-regretted haircut, so I look at all that hair I had in 1971 with lots of wistfulness (or would the right word be “wist”? Hahahaha!). 😉

Oh no–I keep all the hair that nature sees fit to leave on my head, so I have great sympathy if you’re not thrilled with your haircut. I hope it grows back quickly and well. That is a great photo–
