I had four teeth pulled earlier today, all from my upper jaw.
Friday night I broke my remaining upper front tooth, and thus my partial upper denture was no longer viable. So the broken tooth, and the three remaining teeth on top, had to come out to make way for a full upper plate, which I’m not really too thrilled about.
The extractions took place 5 hours ago. I didn’t have nitrous oxide for the procedure, because it was not on offer.
It’s been long enough for the Novocaine to have worn off at this point.
And I say, “Ouch!” π¦
I’m still bleeding, too, and swollen.
Luckily, Ophelia curled up on my bed earlierΒ with me to offer me cuddles and comfort.
Tomorrow I will go back for them to make adjustments to the plate, so that it fits my mouth better. Right now, it’s giving me buck teeth and feels like it’s taking up most of the room in my mouth, all the way back to my uvula. Ugh!
I’m sure I’ll get used it eventually.
I surely do hope I can still sing with it in!
But it’s definitely not the end of the world… hehehe. π Life is still good. π
So here are some lovely post-op photos of me, for your edification. LOL!
You bring back a host of memories from my first denture experience. I feel your pain, Timi.

Well, it was a long time ago. I lost my upper teeth at a young age.
